We emphasise the importance of family

and acknowledge diversity within our community. Recognition of different cultures is considered when implementing programs and developing nutritious menus. Educators recognise the impact that a sense of "belonging" can have on a child and in turn, the community as a whole.

Our Story

My name is Kylie,  I have been working in Childcare for the past 24 years. I formally started when I was 16 years of age as an assistant at a local childcare service. I quickly proceeded to gain my qualifications in Early Childhood Studies. I was a Centre Manager for ten years prior to starting my own Family Day Care seven years ago. In addition, I acquired my Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, lectured in Childcare practice and worked as a trainer and assessor for Diploma and Cert III students.

My husband and I have 4 gorgeous children between us.

The amazing experiences that I have had caring for other peoples' children in both long day care and family day care settings over the years will stay with me forever.

I felt the need to pursue my biggest dream of one day starting my own Childcare Centre, with the emphasis being to "provide personable care to families", which I believe is essential when providing long day care for children.

I wanted to implement all of the knowledge that I have gained, whilst being a parent (with my youngest child in care) and also as an Educator with a drive to create a safe and excellent place of learning for local children.

It also means a lot to me to work alongside personable, passionate and professional staff whom parents feel that they can trust.

We aim to provide as many enriching experiences as possible for the children at Curam and look forward to meeting you soon.

From our family to yours,

Kylie Cowley
